I cannot say enough of the many uses for the driftboat. I use it mostly for flyfishing in fast running rivers. But when I get hungry for
some dungeness crabs the kicker motor is attached to the transom and I'm headed for Winchester Bay or Coos Bay. Or when I want to
catch some Kokanee in the high lakes that 10 horse kicker is a must. In the pictures above my son Andy is holding a big Chinook we
caught in Coos Bay between crabbing and fishing. In the following picture my daughter and her family are about to start up the kicker
motor to catch some Kokanee in Cresent Lake

One of my favorite activities I like to use the driftboat for is carrying supplies to a good camping spot down the river. In
Oregon our river banks are public domain all the way up to the high water mark. This can be quite a large area if the area is flat.
There are also many islands that change with the high water in the winter. Another advantage of camping on the river is to get a
spot where there are big fish to be caught  after the crowds are gone when the sun starts to set. You will have an opportunity for
these fish at sundown and sunrise before the crowds get to your camping spot. The driftboat is also easy to transport behind  your
vehicle when you decide to make that trip to Montana, Idaho and Wyoming. You can see my Mercedes towing my Willie  during one
of my trips to Montana. I throw my bike in the boat and I have my shuttle. And the driftboat is a great with young children ....
You can also use your driftboat as a light load trailor to haul things. Just remove the seats and you have a good trailor. I have to
warn you never to carry more weight than your trailor can handle. I used my boat to haul a big Christmas tree to my home this year.
